Flexible Valplast Denture

Flexible Valplast Denture

What are flexible dentures made of?

Flexible dentures are a type of partial denture, made of a thinner type of nylon, compared to the thicker, more rigid acrylic used in full dentures.

What are the benefits of flexible dentures?

Flexible dentures are often a more comfortable fit than other dentures due to their flexibility and the thinner nature of the material used. Some partial dentures are made with metal clasps to hold them in place, which can sometimes show. Flexible dentures do not use any metal parts so tend to look and feel a lot more natural.

What are the disadvantages of flexible dentures?

If you lose another tooth it can be difficult to add a new tooth to your existing denture, making them an expensive option if you need a new denture made. They can also discolour over time. Not everyone is suitable for a Valplast denture depending on their remaining teeth.

How do I clean flexible dentures?

The denture needs to be soaked daily in a special solution, brushed gently with a soft brush and rinsed under running to remove any residue.
